Dobby’s Celebration of Life

It dawned on me recently that a good number of the people who reach out to me about Senior Pet Celebration sessions are my peers. We’ve hit the age where the pets we got either in college or just out of college are senior. Wow! This was certainly the case with Jessica, as I was able to deduce before even getting on the phone because her inquiry was for her dog, Dobby.

Yes, that Dobby.

A fellow Harry Potter fan myself, I couldn’t help but incorporate some inspiration to the shoot in the form of a wand and a sock. It warmed my heart when Jessica ended up purchasing the image of Dobby with the wand. (Yes, yes I know, Dobby himself didn’t use a wand.)

But that wasn’t the only thing that warmed my heart. The entire shoot was incredibly touching. Dobby was both blind and deaf, but always knew how to find mom wherever she was. I could easily see that the bond between Jessica and Dobby runs deep. Take a look at some more images from their session and see if you can feel the love, too.
