Senior Dog Celebration with Maisy and Laura
Maisy and Laura’s Senior Dog Celebration is the epitome of why I love being a photographer, and the service it means I get to provide. It checked all the boxes: storytelling, creating memories, capturing connections, producing art that will be cherished, and of course, getting to pet the sweetest old girl.
It meant the absolute world to me to be able to provide Laura with images of Maisy (and her with Maisy) that she can cherish forever. And I mean forever. Because no matter how long our furry loved ones have on this earth, it is never long enough. And no matter how long they may have been gone, we never forget the love and connection we have with them.
And I’m certainly not eulogizing Miss Maisy here. She’s still thriving and living her best senior dog life. This session was on her terms, and she made sure we knew that. And that is a-ok by me. Maisy wanted to wander where she wanted to wander. She didn’t want to be in front of the camera very often, she wanted to walk up to the lens and say hello to me. And we just worked with that. (I have to pet this adorable sweet face? Twist my arm.)
It was such a pleasure to get to work with Maisy and give her her moment in the limelight. She deserves it.
Are you interested in doing a Senior Dog Celebration session? You can rest assured knowing that we will spend exactly the right amount of time needed to capture what makes your loved one so special, all while respecting their limits and providing lots of positive reinforcement. As a pet owner myself, I know how special your relationship is. It’s my job to bring it to light.
