All the World’s a Stage

I met Lindsay back in 20…16? Please hold. Need to consult my own Facebook page for photo timestamps…

Can confirm…2016! We performed in Bye Bye Birdie together and have kept in touch since. Lindsay is a killer makeup artist and business owner, and all-around awesome human, who agreed to do my makeup for my wedding in 2017. But it had been since 2017 since I had last seen Lindsay and we were due for another encounter!

That’s why I was so pleased when she and Jonathan agreed to be my models for a shoot at Fort De Soto, one of my favorite local spots. There’s an old fort (literally), beach, and lush greenery all around. I knew we’d find the perfect spot for what ended up being their Christmas card photo (*swoon*).

Never thought I’d say “what cute noses!” but seriously, how cute is there little nose touch?!

We had fun with plenty of other poses and prompts, too, including my favorite “pretend you’re wiping mustard off her chin,” which resulted in him licking his thumb before wiping a wet digit on Lindsay’s beautifully made up face (LOL!) That was a new one but provided lots of laughs for all involved. (And a great photo, seen below!)

It was such a treat to be able to see Lindsay again and to meet the mystery jazz man I kept seeing in her Instagram posts! I look forward to being able to spend more time with her in the new year.
