MONIQUE’S MATERNITY SESSION - ROCKS IN MY CROCS

"ROCKS IN MY CROCS" was the phrase of the maternity shoot with Monique and Gammy.

Now, I've never been pregnant, so I can only imagine how much those crocs were a necessity when you're going to be standing for a long time. But when we were on one path that was designated by small rocks/pebbles, poor Monique kept getting rocks in her crocs!

But Gammy was ON IT, swooping in to get the pesky rocks out of the crocs in no time. Gammy and Monique made the most adorable couple and you can just feel the love between them in all of their photos (and in person.)

This particular maternity shoot was to highlight BOTH parents, which I love. But of course we had to do SOME photos of just mom-to-be, Monique.

Highlighting Monique’s tattoo was up there on her list of “wants”. Which reminds me…if you have a specific photo in mind you KNOW you want to have, don’t be afraid to tell your photographer! I know that I personally want to make sure YOU are happy with the photos you get in the end, so don’t be afraid to speak up if there’s something you have in mind.

Now that last photo there with the pink light was a happy little accident. I knew the light looked nice on Monique’s sunflower crown in this position, and as I lined up to take this shot I saw the little pink spot and did an internal happy dance, snapping away with that splash of natural color.

But enough about me… this post is about THEM! And baby Nairobi. Who, by the time I share this blog post, will have graced the world with her presence! Congratulations, Gammy and Monique, you are going to be wonderful parents!

This session was at Lettuce Lake Park, one of my all-time favorite parks in the area.
