Schockman Family Session at Madeira Beach

There’s something funny about living in Florida and rarely frequenting the beach. (My fair skin thanks me.) But thanks to Katelyn and her family, I had an excuse to head out to Archibald Beach Park (The Hammocks) in Madeira Beach for a family photo session.

As a Mother’s Day present, Katelyn reached out to me to take her family’s photos. When I showed up and they asked for more candid shots I was SO pleased. Of course, we both wanted to make sure they got some classic family portraits at the beach like this one…

…but I also got to take truly candid images like these during our little “break” from shooting (really, THEIR break, my time to shine)…

And of course we did something a little in-between, slightly prompted moments I like to give for natural-looking but still professionally staged photos…
