Pro-BONE-O puppy shoot
What is absolute chaos and pure joy rolled into one? TEN hound/pitty puppies in a wagon waiting to be adopted!
Southern States Bully Rescue put a call out for photographers in the Tampa area to photograph some puppies that were up for adoption to, well, help get them adopted! I of course jumped on the opportunity. And no surprise here, I’m SO glad that I did!
I had no indication of what breed I would be photographing when I pulled up to the foster mom’s house, but let’s be honest…it didn’t matter. Puppies are adorable no matter the breed. I had an inclination they may be pitty puppies based on the name of the rescue but I know they help dogs of all shape/size/breed (hooray!) I did HOPE that they’d be pitty puppies, since I have an especially soft spot for bully breeds, and when they got rolled out in their big red wagon I literally squealed.
It’s hard to put your finger on exactly what breed(s) these puppers are but I think pit/hound is a good guess. Whatever they were, they were ADORABLE. We tried to take them out one at a time for solo portraits but you can imagine how well that went once one of them learned they could successfully leap out of the wagon…
ABANDON SHIP!
It got to be a comedy routine where one puppy would leap out, we’d put it back in the wagon, and at the same time a different puppy would hop out! It was a revolving door of “abandoning ship” puppies and while it could have been frustrating, it was in fact just incredibly adorable.
These little ones were snuggle monsters. Hopping out of the wagon to come lay on my lap as I’m taking their sibling’s photo. Seriously, just sploot! right across my lap. Or crawling on my shoulder to nuzzle into my neck. Pure…bliss.
So if you are looking for a snuggly little puppy friend to add to your family, you should definitely fill out an adoption application with Southern Bully Breed Rescue for one of these cuties.
Bully breeds are unfortunately often discriminated against and this rescue is working to change that. I am so pleased that I could play a role in spreading the word about how amazing these little pups were and help find them good homes.
I am happy to do volunteer work to get these puppies good homes. But if you, yourself, already have a doggo in YOUR good home that you want to do a pet session with, shoot me an email. It would be my absolute pleasure to photograph you and your furry one.

MEET MY DOGGO - Kimmy
This is Kimmy. She is the goodest senior doggo who let me put a big red bow on her for Christmas and take her photo. She’s also a rescue pup. We guess she is around 16 years old, now.
